Rear main seal install/how to (help)

I have looked all over the inter webs but have lnt found a decent write up on how to instal the rear main seal . Is there any good write ups on it . I have motor on a stand now . With the rear cover off ready to install this and the new gasket . Any and all help will be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

This is the SacCityCorvette tool which goes for like $38, but the video shows you the steps for how to get the rear seal on and secured with the oil pan.

Can you rent a tool like this at a local auto store ?

That Kent Moore tool is well over $100 tho.

Seems like the SacCity tool is a good alternative.

And rx7SBC... doubtful. Of all the big stores, NAPA would be my choice to check.

You just measure and move a little if needed till it's right ,,,,,,about 2 minutes time, then fully torque bolts to specs then recheck and move on.

This according to repair manual and it works great just make sure to tighten bolts just barely snug,,,,,,,enough to move cover with a rubber hammer a little
