Default Ls6 cam and oil pump part# and Fi questions

I found a cam and oil pump combo for 175 bucks from a guy he claims it's an 04 ls6 cam has numbers 5308 in it , also would this be a good cam for my lq4 single gt45 build? Is the oil pump an upgrade as well?

Yea that's a good deal man I'd be jumping on that for sure...that's the .550 z06 cam and ls6 pump is what I've been running, strong oil pressure with no porting or messing with spring...

I wouldn't use either...
The cam is too small for a lq4, I would get a turbo specific grind and some good dual springs, if your going to go through the swap.
As said above spend the $$$ for a new oil pump, oil pumps are one of the cheapest parts for an engine and the most important .

Didn't realize oil pump was used, a used cam is one thing but a used oil pump is a whole different anima especiallyl for as cheap/important as they are...if you end up passing on that cam though let me know lol

Yea il buy a new oil pump good call, so the ls6 cam won't make any more power then my stock cam?

The Ls6 cam is slightly larger than the lq4 cam and will make a little more power... If you got the cam for free I'd say go for it but if your spending $$$ stick something in there worth your time and money. Just my $.02.
