need help ASAP I know this is not an LT1 forum but I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions for me. I have came across a set of ported Lt1 heads dirt cheap. here is the info on them.
" the heads are fully ported. They have 2.00 intake valves and 1.56 exhaust valves and Comp 987 springs with titanium retainers. These heads have not been run since all work has been done. Flow #'s from the guy who did all the work are 282 intake and 206 exhaust, I had them flowed at a local shop and they flowed 274 and 195. All flow #'s are at .600 lift." Do these sound like a decent set up?
I was thinking about putting theses on my Z with a mild cam. My motor has 74K on it right now, do you think it’s a bad idea to do this to a motor with this mileage. The bottom end seems to be in good shape and doesn’t burn a drop of oil. But I also like to take this car on long 8hr trips in the summer.
