Default Head/Cam decision?

The car is a 2002 SS A4 with all the bolt on's. I know i am going to need a stall convertor. I will be driving the car about three times a week, maybe go to the track 8 times year. As for as performance and streetablity I can't decide between TSP/PP LS6 style race head with the Magic stick V.1, or TEA 5.3 stage 1.5 hand ported heads with the futral F13 cam. I will also spraying 150 shot. THANKS

I'd talk to camarocain first about her combo and see how she likes her head/cam combo as I believe its the same as what your looking at and see how she likes it as far as driving it around town...futral's site is down right now so i dont know the specs of the f13 off hand but that seems like the opposite end of the spectrum as far as driveability goes if i remember correctly...i think both combos would perform very well for you but I'd think the the f13 would probably be a little easier to get to run great on the street just cuz most of their stuff is pretty streetable from what i hear.

I made damn good power with the FM13, it's 230/232 .595/.585.. It is a completely different type of cam than one of the max effort majic stic cams. The FM13 would be better suited to a daily drive car.. the big TSP cam would work better on a car that would see the track more. I made 474rwhp 421rwtq with the patriot LS6's and the FM13.. on a mail order tune.

I am very happy with my combo. It has over 600 miles on it (i too only drive it a couple times a week) and about 8 or so passes on it. As long as you plan to get it tuned you will be fine on the driveability. I would recommend at least a 4000 stall converter though. I run a YPT4400 and I also run 4.10 gears now in my 10-bolt. If you have any other specific questions feel free to PM me any time, or give the guys at TSP a call and talk to Jason or Trevor.
