Default camshaft

How would this cam perform in a n/a lq9 with l92 heads milled .015 with a .040 head gasket for a 11.0:1comp. At .050 the specs are 117+2 lsa 226I .598 lift 238E .600 lift on xe-r lobes?

Good idle quality with -2* overlap, high revving, low-end should be ok but nothing great.
So, what are your goals and use with this cam..?

That cam itself won't make a lot of power, but should have great street manners and drivability

What is not a lot of power? 380 rwhp? Was hoping for about 420rwhp. Has 1 7/8 long tubes to 3.5" collector to 3" x pipe to3"all the way bac.

IMO, You need to either to go with a smaller cam or higher stall TC. Even with a higher stall I'd go with a little less split and drop the lsa down to 116 along a little more advance on the cam, like a 226/234 116lsa +3.

With what you have mentioned here, I would specify:

223/230 .610"/.609" 112+5

This will give you great low-end power with your small 2800 stall and the large port volume of the L92 heads. This will also give you great driving manners as the camshaft 2 degrees of positive valve overlap @.050" lobe lift.

It will also respond very well to a 150 shot.

Trying to understand these #s. So does 112+5 mean the the icl is a 107 and the exhaust is a 117ecl? But dont know the lobes. Will this creat ptv?

That looks like Comp Cam 223 lsl intake lobes and lxl exhaust lobes.
Yes, 112lsa with a 107icl, with a 117ecl.
That not much overlap at all, you'll likely be fine but it best to check ptc clearance to be 100% sure.

OMI, those are better lobe choices than the xer lobes.

LSL/LXL. 107 intake center line.

Correct. 107 ICL and a 117 ECL. IMO this is just slightly smaller than I'd want to go with the amount your heads have been milled.

I would verify P to V when installing as your heads have been milled a fair amount along with the size of that intake valve. Also you mentioned a .040" gasket which as you know will decrease P to V even more.

Correct. I also prefer them over the XER lobes.

Peak torque at 4400-4600 and peak horsepower at 5800-6000rpm. Shift at 6400-6600rpm.

I'd think a super-charger build would suit those cam specs, but I'd still rather see it with either LXL or Extreme RPM(high lift) lobes for better valve train stability with boost.
