Default 5.3 casting number?

Just wondering what the casting # is for 5.3 heads? I bought a set from a private seller and one is 706 and the other is a different number.

Thanks
John

whoever is doing your head work should be able to tell you. as long as the valve size, deck, combustion chamber and runner volume is the same, you should be alright.

The 862 and 706 are both 5.3 heads. If your wondering if you can use them as a pair the answer is yes, they will work as a pair, you just must use the old graphite style head gaskets.
