Default Question about main studs.

I see where everyone changes rod bolts and head studs on these budget turbo builds. I never see anyone talking about changing main studs. Are the factory main studs okay to reuse? Thanks

Yeah, they're fine in most builds. They usually aren't needed unless the application is more extreme.

I have ARP main studs, in most applications including mine the main studs are more than enough, I just replaced mine because I got a really good deal on them and couldn't pass it up.

I understand He's asking about aftermarket main studs or not but it seems as though He may also be wondering about re-using the factory main studs n bolts which actually are all bolts . I've read different answers in the last 4 years I've been following this Forum. I just bought new GM ones for piece of mind but I know many will tell You reusing will be alright ,,,,,,,I imagine 999 of 1000 times probably good to go reusing. My opinion,,,,any more info ?

I've built literally a dozen or so engines reusing the main bolts and studs (GM calls them studs, at least half of them that secure the windage tray), the last of which just made 650whp through a full size truck with 12psi.
