So I have a 00 SS that is currently cam and bolt on only. The engine was always a little noisy on the stock valvetrain. So when I put in my TR230 the stock lifters were even noisier. I made sure to oil up the pick up tube oring and it was seated perfectly. I am assuming that the lifters are just week. The oil pressure is always a minimum of 40 PSI at Idle (new ls6 oil pump w/ cam install). So moving on I have picked up a set of PRC 225 as cast, ls7 lifters and new trays, ARP head bolts. I am still looking at what cam I am going to go with. the car is not a daily driver so my cam choice doesn't have to be mild. I also plan to get a fast 102 and an underdrive pully. Any cam suggestions are appreciated. My next question is if I did pinch the oring on the pick up tube can this cause damage if driven on? I am positive I didn't but the valve train is very noisy although has been that way for about 5 years and 8000 miles with no change. its not really knocking noise as it is what I would call the sewing machine noise. Thanks ahead of time.

Well if you have 40 psi then it's not an oil issue. You probably need to check your rocker geometry.
