I am looking for a Head and cam package for my 98 Trans-am

It will be a daily driver, It has 130,000 miles on it. The mods are TSP 1 3/4 LT Headers, LS6 Intake, 3200 TCI Stall Converter w Performabuilt level 2 Transmission

I am looking to try to get at least 450 at the wheels. I was looking at a few packages from TSP which include timing chain and oil pump. I am just undecided on the heads I am looking to stay with the LS6 Intake as far as the cam i would like a little lope in it. the cam i was looking at was a 224r 112lsa I would like to keep by budget for the cam and head package around 2500

Many have said get the stock heads ported but i am stationed in Germany and do not have reasonable access to get this done.

Any advice is appreciated

 

Here's one option, but I'd still check with some other sponsors also .
You can go with the TSP PRC stg 2.5 5.3L heads and cam package for about $2060, and go with their Deluxe Heads & Camshaft Bolt & Gasket Kit for about $310 .
So there's $2370, not count shipping, new fluids, new lifters and trays, and tune.

Thanks for the information, i was originally looking at the TSP 215 heads. How much difference in HP are there in the heads? But i thing the price is right on your recommandation.

 

Id give TSP a call. They can answer all your questions. Im running the 5.3/2.5 and Torquer v3 and love it

 

I am set on the 5.3 2.5 still lookin at cams, I like the lopey sound. How much HP are you getting with that combo.

 

Still gotta get it on a dyno but TSP said it would be in the mid 400s whp
