Question Cam Questions

I have a 1998 Z28 M6. I was wondering if I can change the cam without replacing the stock valve train? If anybody has any ideas it would be great.

valve springs and pushrods will need to be changed with a cam swap unless you are going with a stock ls6 cam or something similar to it.

Replace it to what size cam? Must be small and non aggressive if you can keep the pushrods and rockers.

You should replace everything. So you don't get back in there, again.

I don't really know what cam I want. There are so many to choose from and everything. I want to gain a good amount of hp and torque but don't want to make it where I can't drive it everyday

Supercharge it. Seriously. A mild cam on an otherwise stock motor (w/ intake, headers, exhaust) is worth 25-40rwhp. Not a whole lot. But stepping up to better heads, FAST intake, a more aggressive cam, and all the boltons can net you over 100rwhp... About like a supercharger for about the same price...
