How worried should I be?

How worried should I be? In the middle of doing heads and cam, my first real time inside an engine of any kind. Got the old cam out last night, the front cam bearing got a few nicks and had a spot of copper showing on the upper portion. More concerned about the nicks as my searching has shown that a little copper is normal. What are my options and what concerns should I have?
On a side note, the cam journal was completely smooth, no nicks, pitting, wear spots etc. I got a great picture of the nicks on my cell phone, then zoomed in and took a screenshot of it as close as I could before it got fuzzy. The redness is just some redline assembly lube I put on there after feeling around with my fingers.
