Hey, here's a question that i have never seen asked..
what is the maximium stroke you can get out of an lsx engine
and not have the piston pin intersect the oil ring land?

I remember someone telling me in the range of 4.160 stroke. For max stroke you would probably also need a belt drive, because the reluctor clearance would be a problem. With increased stroke shorter rods are need to get enough compression height on the piston, and leads to bad geometry, side loading and increased piston speeds. Thats why most people don't go over a 4" on ls1 applications.

but with stroke over 4in doesn't that break into the oil ring land area?

No, there are a few with 4.125 strokes. Lunati makes a kit with a 4.125 stroke.
