I'm sure the higher end Cloyes set is better than the standard Cloyes set, but the question to ask is, how good is good enough? Do you need the best of the best for an extra $150 price premium?
My 9-3153 was $115 from Scoggin Dickey vs $266 from Jegs for the premium part. I don't plan on doing any 24 hour endurance races with my Mustang, so I suspect the standard part will work fine. Also, I had several Cloyes timing sets on small block Fords, and the standard parts always worked fine in them.
