Default t-56 or 4l60e?

Okay guys. I have a 2001 silverado. I was doing some research and the t-56 is a lot stronger right? Looking at either building a 450chp motor. Or doing a trubo kit at about 6-8 psi. I am 4wd. Can a t-56 be hooked up to a 4 wheel drive? And if not. Can you beef up a transfer case to be able to lauch in 4wd with like 350whp? Thanks for the input guys.

A 4L60 can be built to handle quite a bit of hp . I got a friend running 9.9x in a 99TA with a 4l60 . I also have another friend with a swb with a 4l80 making 800ish hp and his truck is awd .

you can't compare a 4L60 to a 4L80. Apples and oranges. You see plenty of 4L60's "survive" in F-bodies, but in heavy trucks and SUV's, not so much.

Well I do have the lightest truck made. Its the regular cab. Short bed stepside. Pretty sure its the lightest verion of the truck. Unless it was 2wd. But thats it. It has 160k on it now on atock tranny. I asume by 200k im gonna need to rebuild it. So I was wondering if I should do the t-56 swap instaed? I guess I could just make it a 2wd? Take the front drive shaft off and take the tansfer case away. Probably wouldnt hurt the front end any to have it not hooked up to a drive shaft?
