I have a Texas Speed ported ls6 oil pump and a rollmaster double. Everything fits just fine. No grinding, just used the oil pump shims that came with the timing chain set.

When I assembled my engine I torqued the cover on to spec and rolled the engine over by hand 10-15 times and then removed the cover to inspect for contact.
