I'm a novice, so take it for what it's worth, but I've read that a lot of people with A4's would drill out the hole in the TB "butterfly" (or what ever its called) to get the car to idle after a cam install. Maybe drilling out the TB will get you by until you get a tune.

Hope that helps,

Jim

Does the vette have the idle adjustment screw like the fbods? If so you can use that as a temp solution to your stalling.

just found out it doesn't . The throttle is a fly-by-wire setup; controlled by the PCM computer.

you don't need a dyno tune to get it to idle and you don't need to drill the tb blade either. the tuner can change the iat and other things to work it out. maybe cll allen and he'll tell you what needs done. find someone who's tuned his cams if possible. only took my tuner (LT1Dave & NB99Z) 10 minutes to straighten out exactly the same issues with my fms11. my wife drives the car now it's so smooth. pm me if you need more info, chris.

Not familiar the Vette's FBW setup... there's no throttle cable adjust for a slightley higher idle until you can tune?

Just have the tuner up the idle a little to get you by until the break in is done.

You need Hptuners or edit. If you have it you need to adjust the VE tables at the low rpms. This will help you out by actually leaning the car out at startup (won't die on you) and also fix your surging issues. You'll also need to change the IAC settings as mentioned. If you've got the software pm me and i'll tell you exactly what needs to be done.

I know for a fact that not only can you drill a hole in your stock C5 throttle body it is just about a necessity to do so to get your C5 to idle once you cam her up! YES, i speak from PERSONAL experience!
