Yeah guys, after thinking about it more and changing my oil again, i found small metal shavings on the plug. I had some wheels on the lifters bind up and chew up most of the cam lobes sending metal fragments throughout. New cam, new lifters and everything has been fine until the pump failed. I think that is why the relief valve got stuck, probably not a fault of melling. I am going to change my oil again and see how it goes.
