Hi guys I have a 87 Rx7 with a 01 5.3 engine and t56 transmission. now I have a noise coming from my engine. it sounds like a air coming out pretty good around the intake manifold. when I shut off the engine the air make a whining noise very loud.

Specs:
01 5.3 engine
Weiand intake manifold
no emissions
F-Body balancer
F-Body water pump

Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Its not coming out, its getting sucked in.

Sounds like a vacuum leak.

 

Crankcase ventilation (PCV) tubes crisscrossed? Oil pump not centered?

 

Do a smoke test to see if you have a vacuum leak.
