Default Wanna Help a Newbie

Hey everyone i finally moved to the gm side. Got a 02 trans. Woundering if i could make a healthy 500 na car outta her. Its going to be driven occasoinally. How big can i stroke and bore her engine. If i went and got a spare motor out of a junk yard to build for racing. What vehicals should i look for. Looking to make her into a big block in a small block....(my name is just what i tell everyone when they ask about my cars) lol this is pretty quick.

Welcome aboard. I would say buy you a good iron block 6.0 as a base line then build the heck out of it.

I agree get a lq4 6.0 iron block bore it .030" over put a 4 inch stroker crank in and u get a 408 ci motor. A LQ4 is almost a direct replacement. The only thing that i had to do to drop it in was drill and tap another hole for my alternator bracket but some say thats optinioal.
