Default Quick 4.8 rundown

Here's a quick rundown on a future plan I have in my mind.
I was planning on purchasing a 4.8 lr4, swapping to ls6 intake and oil pump, porting and polishing the heads. Ls6 camshaft and associated springs and rockers. full long tubes to magnaflow mufflers.

As for internals, can I just disassemble it and take em to te shop to get balanced and blueprinted. And with the addition of arp rod and piston bolts an arp head bolts on ls6 gaskets.

Im trying to find out if

1. Will this be a reliable setup for 7000 rpm and be able to drive 3000 miles +

2. Drivability?

Keep in mind, this will take a while so it won't be operational. I just want to see if this would e a good set up.

Also, I am choosing the 4.8 because I have heard since it has a shorter stroke its less wear on te internals, higher rev capable?

Thanks in advance fr any answers thoughts or concerns.

the ls2 cam is better suited for the 4.8/5.3 motors

i would really use a 5.3 over 4.8.
5.3 with ls6 cam/intake and ported 241 head is a good budget motor that will make over 340whp thru auto tranny with all bolt ons. we are doing this with a ls1 intake in a fox body using a 350 tranny and stock mustang rear end with 3.73s. prob going to spray 200 shot nos on it since it has arp rod bolts and hoping to get close to 475-500whp.

That setup will run out of breath long before 7000rpm, so unless you do some more breathing mods I would not bother with trying to spin it to that. That will save you having to take it apart and put in rod bolts.
