lq4 engine
hi,
I want to buy a lq9 engine for my ride. One of my friend want to sell me a deal.
A lq4, l92 heads, lingenfelter gt11 cam, oil pump hi debit, arp rod, arp head, push rod comp, no intake, no headers, no alternator, no startor, no headers no carubretor. all of that for 3500$ what you think about that? I want to stay N/A for this moment.

3500, no, I think you could build that same t thing missing the same parts for less. Lq4 blocks can be had pretty easy, he probably had 800-1000 in valve train, maybe 900 in the intake/head swap to l92/ls3. I would say look for a stock lq9, more power potential without swapping those pistons

If it was a 408 then that might be worth looking at.
But that because to stroke out it out you have to bore the block, replace the crank, new rods and pistons. You have almost 3 grand in the block just to make a 408 before you even put heads on. (Unless you source parts and make deals like I do :p ).
But if it's just a stock 6.0l with a l92 top end swap then yes it's not worth it. Everyone here is correct in there statement.
A imagine a stock 6.0L with decent miles and a l92 swap going for about 2 grand. Since it's missing the intake, starter, and headers.
