Default Valve Train Issue

Have a combo that is not making power like I think it should. It peaks around 6900-7000 and then falls off bad. The cam is new , valve springs are new. Next on the list to try is stock rockers with trunnion upgrade and if that doesn't resolve the issue then replace ls7 lifters with morels. Combo is setup for nitrous. I think it should be makin power to at least 7300-7400 and shift point of 7600 or so. The springs were installed properly. Needing expert opinions if I am on right track and what could be causing issue if not. I have a dynograph , but, don't have photobucket etc to post it.

Cam too far advanced? That will definitely lower your peak RPM. Retarding it will carry the power out further.
