Default When to swap oil pump/chain ?

Gonna put a mild cam in a 35K mile LS6. Is it a waste of money to swap in a ported pump and chain set ? The stock pump is just getting into its prime. Or is the "while your that far" rule apply ? Cam is 222/226 115 LSA.

You are there, so the while you are already ***** deep rule applies .... would go ahead and do a melling pump along with new chain.

Do yourself a favor and buy an extra oil pump o-ring for the pickup tube, I destroyed the one that came with my pump and had to go on an easter egg hunt at several autoparts stores....

At that mileage, I'd leave the pump alone and just do a $45 LS2 chain. That is unless you're seeing crappy oil pressure right now, then I'd swap it out.
