Lifter leak down

Checking my PtoV clearance today and noticed my indicator was slowly moving. Checked my indicator setup numerous times to make sure it wasn't it that was moving. Is this how fast lifters leak down? They are LS7 lifters. Video is attached

this is why you check ptv with solid lifters.

You can convert the ls7 lifters to solid real easy with a set of needle nose and some washers, just pull the retainer, remove the cup and spring, put the washers in place of the spring, replace the cup and retainer and u have a solid ls7 lifter

Put a washer across the top of the lifter, and set the push rod onto the washer. Your valve train geometry will be wrong, but the lift and timing will be the same.

I checked by putting my dial indicator on the body of the lifter (since I have Johnsons). That takes the hydraulic mechanism out of the equation but allows the cam lift and timing to be checked as boB states.
