What's needed to remove dod/afm/vvt? I recently picked up an 07 L33 with 67k. The engine has the dod/afm/vvt (I included all the names because I don't know what you guys commonly call it) and I need to remove it for my project. I was told the lifters need to be replaced so I was thinking of going with LS7 lifter. I was also told you need a new valley cover which works out because I don't have a conventional lift plate so I drilled a hole through the valley cover and put an I-bolt with a washer on the back side to lift the engine onto my stand. Other than the lifters and valley cover, what do I need to get rid of dod/afm/vvt and make this a normal engine?
Also, I've got an LS2 cam in the engine now and still need lifters, pushrods, and rocker arms. The engine came with 853 heads and I'm not sure if I'll just port those or find better flowing but they came assembled with oem valves, springs, and retainers. I've got some Comp dual valve springs already. Would it be ok to use those with the oem retainers and keepers and all? I appreciate the help guys.

as far as im concerned its lifters lifter trays valley cover if going with a 3bolt cam also the sprocket... i think for vvt you also need ls3 front timing cover with front cam positioning sensor..
You probably only have DOD/AFM without VVT, but I could be wrong. You'll need head gaskets, head bolts and a few other small parts also.

Thank you. I'd love to be able to buy it all at once. I was just gonna piece it together by buying used but I'd love to buy new and your kit isn't too expensive. I'll keep you guys in mind when I get the $$$ together.
