how much should I mill
how much should I mill I have a 98 Trans am Ls1. I'm putting in a cam right now. Comp cam 224/230 600ish lift 114 lsa.
I already have ported TB, ls6 intake, pacesetter long tube headers. , off road pipe, hooker exhaust, 3200 vig stall and all the ls1 free mods.
I'm going to port and polish a set of stock 806 heads. I would like to run e85. So i'm wondering how much i should mill the heads to raise the compression. since I'm using the 806 heads i'm pretty sure my choice of head gasket is limited.
My plan is to have a very strong street car/dd. I plan on going to the track once or twice. im hoping to run 11's this year.

That's the exact cam I run and I had my Patriot 243's milled to 59cc. Went from the factory heads to these and wow, unreal difference. Clearance was roughly .065 on intake side and .100+ on exhaust. That was with factory gaskets also. You can mill to 58 if you are looking for max effort. Safe zone is 59-60 with that cam..
