thumpr cam 275thr7 okay i'm looking to install this cam in my 2002 gmc sierra z71 4x4 i'm installed cams in a 350 sbc but never tore into a ls block just wondering what up grades should i do for this cam such as rocker arm rato or springs has anyone installed this cam i want my truck to sound nasty but not tear the motor up is stock rocker arms okay and springs or do i need an up grade stock lifters okay? here is a link to the cam.

I'd recommend a 2600-3k stall TC with that cam. Otherwise I'd go with a smaller cam like a 215/222 109lsa+2 (215 LSL #13014 lift .604", 222 XE rpm high lift #3714 lift .566".) The IVC is only slightly higher than the thumpr cam, and it has about 1/2 * overlap so you'll still have a clearly cammed sound, but not nearly as much as the thumpr with 8* overlap.
