Default Milling AFR 215 heads

Is it possible to mill AFR 215 heads with 64cc chambers down to 54cc chamber's. From all I've read I would have to mill around .060 off the heads. Would there be any potential dramas with doing this.

I would be running a super victor intake so I don't think I would have any sealing issues.

That much you may run into issues getting the intake manifold to line up properly, but you'd probably still be okay. You also start to affect flow with that much milled off as well. How much is hard to say.

There are folks who have milled off that much and they run fine.

I know AFR 205s have been milled to 57cc before... which is 9cc. Taking the 215s down to 55cc would be the same.

Yeah I thought it might be a bit much, but have re worked out where I need comp at and if I can mill them to 57cc that should be ok now. Will give me 11.8 to 1 comp on the race setup I am doing on a 346 with a solid roller. I think this works out at milling around 0.040 off the heads to get 57cc.

I know it doesn't help the OP. But the c5r heads are like 40something cc. Where they milled that far or made with that small chamber
