water damage I have an opportunity to pick up a 2002 Firehawk with low miles ... Catch is it has had water damage . it been sitting for over year n doesn't run obviously...

If the water was high enough to reach the dash/engine then it's most likely not worth fixing. I work in at an auto salvage yard and we get flood cars on a regular basis.
The engine would need to be completely torn down and rebuilt and depending on how long it sat with water in it, It might not be worth rebuilding. It will likely have rust and pitting on all surfaces. Most of the electrical will be junk, All switches/relays will need to be replaced. Fuse box could also be junk. Tranny and rear end will likely have to be rebuilt. Interior will need to be replaced. Easiest way to look at it is if it was bare metal anywhere it will likely have rust/corrosion. Parts that are salvageable are usually painted metal or plastic.
