Default high idle when clutch depressed

I have a 98 camaro ss and when you push the clutch in the car will rev to about 2000 rpm and stay for about 5 seconds and go back down and if you let it idle for awhile it will stop doing it. It happens every time I drive it. The car was throwing a map sensor code so I replaced it and it helped a little since it used to rev all the way to 3000. The car has a cam ls6 intake and exhuast.

You should have posted this in the tuning section. You will get answers there. Have a mod to move it for you.

Was the car tuned after the ls6 intake? I'm guessing that was added since you listed that with your cam. Sounds like an idle issue from an intake swap.

I'm not sure if it has been tuned because the car was bought from a auction not to long ago

Could be a vacuum leak.

I would rule out any vacuum leaks etc. Then find a good tuner to check the car out. Create a thread by your location at the bottom of the forum if you don't know of any any in your area.
