Anyone remove a intake manifold on an A4 car?

Default Anyone remove a intake manifold on an A4 car?
Newbie here...i've got a 98 formula an I'm changing the knock sensors and my question is how I lift the very back bolt that is under the trans dipstick enough so I can lift the intake off? People with an A4 please chime in.

Get some rubber bands and pull that bolt up and the bolt next to it.. Wrap the band between them so they "stay up"

That will keep them both up and allow you to lift the intake outta there

Welcome to LS1tech!

Sounds like you're saying the bolt hits the transmission dipstick tube and you can't get it high enough.

You should be able to nudge the dipstick tube one way or the other.

Rubber banding the bolts up works, I've used zip ties, one per bolt.

Just give the dipstick a little push out of the way just enough.

I did to put on my LS6 PCV setup..

the dipstick wasnt a problem.. it was trying to keep the 4 bolts up at the back while wiggling the damn thing out.
