quick fix to a rear seal small leak hey guys just wanted to know what is a cheep way of fixing a minor rear seal leak with out having to replace the rear seal !! its an LS iron block 5.3 it has about 150.000 miles on it and its my every day driver . just something to hold me over till the summer . thanks !!
What type of PCV valve are you running, fixed restrictor or a floating spring loaded type...?
FYI, if you're using the fixed restrictor type with the small hole in it then remove the valve and first drill the hole out to about a 1/16" larger size so you'll have a little bit more vacuum pull and possibly cut down on the amount leaked. Now if that doesn't help try opening up the hole larger, but keep an eye on the amount of oil trapped in you Catch cam because you'll get more with the increased vacuum pull.
