Sorry about that Jake, I must have written it down wrong. I'll change it.

I can't remember the exact cost of getting the the LS3 valves turned down( I have it written down at work)but hollow stainless Ferra valves were actually cheaper and the weight was just about the same as the turned LS3's. According to him he has seen some LS3 valves come apart but really didn't elaborate on it. For the combo I was going to run, Tooley stage IV, he didn't feel the lightweight valves would benefit me any but would do what ever I wanted. I had briefly discussed the same thing with Tooley a while back and he said the same thing. Hope this helps some.

Yeah it helps a bunch man.

Got some new info on the heads actually. They are 2.055 intakes(not 2.02) and the springs are Comp 26926 .675 duals(159lbs seat/448lbs open)..not BTR's.

My concern is beating up the the cam/lifters(and rest of valve train) with a heavy valve, heavy springs, XER's and a stock rocker. Am I looking too far into it? Im getting OCD as all hell in my old age and would like to set it up the best I reasonably can the first time….as opposed to run it, trash something and do it all over again

Hollow valve, PAC 1519's, Ti retainer on the XER's sound like something that is reasonable?

Thanks again

You could always buy everything but the cam and have one custom ground on different lobes, but roughly the same size.

I would sell the 675 springs and run 650 springs.

Update:

Got the set up running. Didn't have time for a full blown tune which works out ok since I've gotta break in the clutch a little bit (Mantic ER2 single). Just got some drivability in there. Did minimal WOT passes on dyno, just to make sure A/F was around 12.6..(445/410rw)

After getting about a 100 or so stop/go miles to bed the clutch I rolled on it in 3rd. It starts misfiring pretty good at about 5600. I don't try to pull through it. This didn't seem to show up on the dyno.

Checked:
Plugs(New TR6's)
Wires(New MSD's)
Cleaned MAF
Sprayed some carb cleaner around intake while idling for vacuum leaks
Re-checked springs/rockers, all looks well

Any ideas? Knock retard possibly(nothing audible)? Im not getting any codes on the DIC. Not sure if the dyno was loading it enough, like a 100mph pull on the street would and thats why it didn't miss on the dyno? Im trying to triple check everything on my end before getting it back for a a full tune.

Otherwise the car runs great. Better drivability than I expected. No surging or bucking til about 1200rpm. Still gets about 28mpg on the highway at 70mph. Clutch feels great.

Thanks in advance.
