i have the comp short travel lifters and it recommend .20 preload. at zero lash is 7.390 and 7.445 so i need 7.410 and 7.465 do this sound about right

I thought the comp short travel lifters needed .002"-.005" preload?

ok guys. not only did it carry the rpms out with the new lifters it picked up more horse power and reved all the way to 7600. peaked at 7000 and carried all the way to 7600 and could have went more rpms. just remember PAC 1208X SPRINGS AND LS7 LIFTERS DONT WORK FOR ME.

Short travel lifters are good for like 500rpm over conventional hyd lifters. Your numbers prove that.

LOL. You dont know what the real problem is. You guys in red have been spewing way to much bs on tech for the last few years. Its not the ls7 lifters fault lol. Why on earth would you believe you need 165 lbs on the seat for a measly 7000 rpm give or take? Yep the short travel lifters saved the day.

Ummm, with the whole setup he has, the 165lbs on the seat and the short travels were required.

Think my first post on here was change the lifters too, obvously that didn't work did it
