Default Engine swap questions

I'd really like some advice. I am about to swap to a 6.0L in my pickup but I want to do a few minor mods to it for a lil more boost. I know I'm gonna put headers and probably a cam. My questions are which brands on headers should I buy and what size cam would be best without having to buy new push rods and lifters. Any advice is welcomed.

Call the people at Comp Cams and see what they recommend. I was pretty happy with their tech support.

Don't call Comp, the vast majority of the 1-800 line people are just there to read the catalog for you. People who are happy with that just don't know any better.

If needing to buy pushrods is a dealbreaker on a cam then don't bother doing a cam because you aren't prepared to do it right.

I DO want a cam so I guess I'm gonna have to fork up a lil more money so wut style should I get that would be the overall best fit for an 07 6.0

You could run an "Ol Man cam' from GM. It has lope and most importantly very soft ramps so you could run it with LS6 spring which are less than $100 for the whole set. You can keep your retainers.

Yep. They wouldn't know the right cam if it fell off the top shelf and hit them in the head. They want to sell the cams that sit on the shelf to long.
