Lifter preload
#1
Curious about what lifter preload I would need on my setup?
TSP 408 LQ9, GM LS7 lifters, 7.500 pushrods, PRC 260cc LS3 heads, GM LS3 rockers, .617 intake .624 outlet 231/239 comp cam, standard LS9 gasket. Standard deck height and heads not milled.
Tightened down with 1 turn from zero lash, curious if that is about what is needed.
Have emailed TSP directly seeing they built it and should be able to let me know as they recommended and sold me the bits I have, but being the weekend I expect a response for a few days and wanting an idea if I'm getting it right.
Cheers guys

TECH Fanatic
1 turn is 0.049" preload, that is what I'm running and have no issues or noises, etc.
It seems that 1.5 turns (~0.075") is what most recommend for GM lifters.
It's a very popular topic on this board.

Yeah ok.
I just don't get the measuring etx. I'm presuming TSP sent me the right bits for the package, but they did mess up a few other things so I can't be certain.
What setup do you have?
