Default Cam and Head swap 5.3

I could use some info and this seems like the place to get it. I drive a 2000 Tahoe with the 5.3L which has 240,000 miles on it. I've got another 5.3 out of a 05' Silverado that has 50,000 on it. My plan is to put a 588 cam and lifters with a pair of 243 heads with 600 springs in it with a set of shorty headers. I already have a K&N air intake and a 2 chamber Flowmaster exhaust. I also have a Hypertech programmer 3, I'm guessing it won't be enough for this change. My question is will my factory computer tune be ok or am I going to have to retune it? Maybe too much cam? I'm looking for a good lope at idle and of course some extra H.P. and torque would be nice. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

He means the lift on the cam I assume.
If you give us a shout we can set you up with anything you want as far as cam and springs go to get you the most out of your setup.

The hypertech will not cover a cam swap. You will either need a local tune, or we offer custom tuning with HP Tuners. You do have to purchase the interface, BUT you can also tune 3 other LS/GM vehicles with it for its price, so it is actually a pretty good deal.

Thanks
