losing oil pressure??
losing oil pressure?? So I bought me a 2001 camaro z28 with 128k on the clock, oil and filter looked new when I picked it up so I put some miles on her, after 800 miles I noticed It started dropping oil pressure so I went ahead and changed the oil. Oil looked great not metal of any kind and I cut open the oil filter and it looked great aswell, went ahead and filled it up with oil and the pressure came back up to normal, I put a manual gauage on it to make sure it was reading right in the cab and it was within 3psi. Now I have 400 miles on it sence then and the pressure is slowly staring to fall again, any ideas? It's all stock.
40 psi hot idle and 50-55 down the highway 60+ wot right after the oil change, now im at 30psi hot idle and 45 down the highway. It was down to 20 at idle last time before changing the oil/filter. It seems to drop a certain amount of pressure (in this case 10psi at the moment) every were at ever rpm.
