Question worth porting heads?

Hey everyone!

Will it be worth porting my heads for the following combo. Will be milling them as well .010 or .020 to get the compression up.

Lq4 4.005 forged mahle pistons
Stock crank
Scat 6.125 forged rods

L92 heads w/ lunati dual valve springs
Stock valves

Custom ground donkey dick of a cam

Ported Vic jr intake w/ accufab 4 brrl TB
42# inj

Backed by a th 400 n 3500 stall.

i think if you can manage a port/polish job yourself then get a valve job it would be worth doing.

Yes, porting will net you a whole bunch of power especially if you got a big *** cam. And it won't just be at the top of the RPM range, but all the way up from idle which will help get the car going with a big cam that's inefficient at that point.

Not sure on the size of cam you are running, but you'll want some really good compression in that case
