Default How much power can stock internals handle?

I am the owner of a 98 Z28, which unfortunately is completely stock. I am wondering how much horsepower the stock internals (crank, pistons, rods, valves etc.) and the heads / intake can reliably handle? I am thinking of adding a supercharger kit, probably a vortech 6psi or the equivalent from another maker. Would the stock LS1 support a basic supercharger setup reliably? My camaro is an everyday driver, with a supercharger will my car last? my car is an auto, with 46000 miles. reccomendations welcome.

do a leak down and compression test to see how well the engine is doing, then boost away. 6psi will be fine on the stock bottom end. you want to get crazy with the boost invest in a forged bottom end and lower the compression.
