Default How to install Throttle Cable thru Firewall?

I'm stuck on the road right now because my throttle cable decided to take. A **** on me now and snap in half. So I went to purchase a new cable at NAPA. I wanted to just swap out the old **** with the new but now it seems that I can't get the old cable rubber from out the firewall? How do I go about this from here?

I honestly cant answer this one for you. Where did the cable break? Maybe you could use some split bolts to tie the cable back together and make the stocker get you home. I have used braided twine wrapped around the throttle cable quadrant and ran out of the hood around the windshield to get home in a civic before. I realize the throttle is 90degrees different in a civic than an ls car but Im just trying to give you some ideas man. Wish I could help more.
