Default heads/cam OR procharger?

I'm looking for opinions on a heads/cam vs. a procharger setup. I am NOT looking to do both and reliability/street-able is a major concern. I've done multiple cam/heads setups and also procharged setups. Neither have given me problems at all. I'm not overly concerned about the price difference, but I don't want anything erratic (no large loping cam). My major concerns are reliability, street-able, low maintenance, 1/4 mile times, etc. With that being said, it will be a stock-bottomed end car, M6, NO meth, stock fuel pump (I'm willing to change injectors if needed), etc. This will be a 99.9% street car with stock suspension that will not be driven too hard. Any suggestions are welcome.

With the projected miles on the car and age, you will likely need a fuel pump no matter what. And I dont mean a walbro. I mean a stock one.
A procharger does seem to fit what you want, and we can likely get you the best prices on them.
Let us know if we can help!

"My major concerns are reliability, street-able, low maintenance, 1/4 mile times, etc."

I would recommend that you save your money, sell your car and pick up a used Z06. When you increase a car's horsepower by 50%+ reliability and maintenace (considering changing broken parts is maintenance) are a gamble. If you want to keep your car, I would go consider one of the huron speed turbo kits. If you want to go the heads and cam route, I would talk to AI, they can get you into a cam that will make good power, be streetable and have lobes that are easy on the springs so you won't have to change them often. I have a cam only car, if I had to do it over again, I would've went turbo.

be careful with a aging fuel pump especially on forced induction. My cammed 6.0 was running out of fuel after 4500 or so could have blew a motor if it was blown. Swapped to a higher quality stock replacement and prob. solved.

I've got to go against the grain here; H/C .
I'd go with a somewhat small cam, like a 224/228 113lsa +4 (0* overlap) with some fairly mild lobes with no more than .600" lift, and a nice set of aftermarket CNC heads with 60cc chambers and stock thickness head gaskets.

I actually sold my 2000 Z28. I had a yank PT3800 stall in it. The car I'm considering is a stock M6. I almost feel like a H/C setup would likely be more reliable, too.

I also liked the idea of a used Z06. I did look at those and they are still around the 40K+ price point, unless you get a higher mileage one. I know I can get a very nice, fairly low mile F-body for 15K plus ~ 5K for a H/C setup.

They meant C5Z which are around 20ish now.

That procharger will provide him with nearly everything he is expecting.
