Default Need advice on my lq4 & 243 combo?

Thinking of buying some ported 243 heads milled to 53cc with 2.05 valves for a stock bottomend lq4 with a 231/237 589/595 112lsa cam my question is are those heads to big? would the compression be to much? cam the right size I'm new to this ls stuff thanks for any help in advance.

With that chamber volume utilizing a 6.0 short block with LQ4 dished pistons your static compression will be 11.95:1.

You will have to fly-cut the pistons for adequate clearance as well IMO.

Kind of off topic, but related, I'm trying to mate a LQ4 up with a T56 in my CTS-V. I've read on here that some LQ4's have longer cranks in them that are not compatible. I have the cast of crank, does anyone have a link or know off the top of their head which cranks will mate with a T56?

The early LQ4's(1999-2000) with the iron heads had the longer crank which won't work with the T56. The rest will mate up to the T56.

I would email Advanced Induction Heads since they weld up chambers to get compression high like you want. If you mill to get 53cc chambers you will have problems mating up the intake.

Why are you bringing up a 3 year old thread to ask an almost completely unrelated question?

It's an April Fool joke on all of us! The poster did this on other threads too; I fell for one of them, but have grown wiser.... sorta....
