Default recent cam install! Questions!

Hey guys this is a total newb question and its mostly around tuning

So Why exactly is it that you cant get on your car after a cam install without tuning

The reason I ask is because I have a Wideband in my car and could easily see if its leaning out..

So what else is there besides AFR?

I havent gotten on it.. Only thing ive done is rev it up to about 3-4k at part throttle at a dead stop.. should I not even do that?

Im getting tuned next saturday but basically im wondering if I should even be driving it around at all even if I baby it

Help me out here

Other than putting the springs through a little bit of a heat cycle there is no other reason I can think of if you can accurately moniter the a/f

Well maybe techinically not, but if it were me I wouldn't do WOT until it has a good tune...that's just me though. Where is the timing at?
