- The grooves for the locks can damage the seals when you slide them on. Somewhere along the way I picked up some small thin plastic caps that I slide over tend before the seals. Otherwise you can use some scotch tape of masking tape.
- usually, the shims and spring retainer goes on before the seals. So do all your measuring and adjustments first. Install the seals just before the springs.
- You can buy a seal installation tool for a few bux; I like to use one. But you can do a good job with a properly sized deep socket.
