I have read that people recommend getting a head gasket that is slightly larger then the bore of the motor. I am boring a lq4 block out to 4.030 and I am wondering what size head gasket I should go with? The motor is going to have a F1-A procharger and Brute Speed blower cam in it.

 

depends on the size of the combustion chamber in your heads.

for example I'm running 4.135's on a 3.905 bore motor to work with my AFR 215s

 

they are stock 317 heads
