Default 240Z with LS1

So, I'm looking for some more power (after I have fitted an LSD...).
I've been looking at cams and got myself into a ridiculous amount of questions.
My set up was- headers (not great flowing as they were restricted due to it being a rhd car but they are much better than stock!), intake is a large cone filter which is crying out for a decent cold air feed. Walbro 255 fuel pump, return less fuel line with some nice fuel rails (I know these gain me nothing..).

With the above mods the car made 340 hp at the flywheel.

I have just fitted an ls6 intake.

Future upgrades/mods:
Crying out for an oil/plug and lead change.
Port and polish the throttle body
Better cold air intake
Under drive pulley?
Cam??
Injectors?
Also looking to get Hp tuners.

My goal ... Well I guess it would be nice to get 400 rwhp but I know I have a long way to go.

Can you recommend me some parts? Looked into 243 heads but hard to find some assembled from a z06.

Thanks,
Dan

You could buy an ls6 package. That way everything will work together. I believe you get heads with slightly higher compression. The heads will have different springs on then to compensate for the extra lift of an ls6 cam. Get an upgraded timing chain. New pushrods would come with the package.

In theory, you could build a 425 horsepower ls6 using your ls1 block/pistons etc

If you don't want to "cam" it, you could put aftermarket rocker arms, with a different ratio, on. It would be like changing the cam lobe lift and duration and can be done under the valve covers.

Both options require a tune.

I've no problem changing the cam/lifters/springs or heads and pushrods. Just want to keep the car very reliable.
