Not to mention the 10 cam installs I had to redo because of supercharger sounding COMP cam crap. I am not a hero at all or try to be if that was aimed at me. When you GET experience building LS motors like I have been doing since 97 then post like that. My suppliers no longer trust comp either. Many vendors feel the same on here which is documented everywhere and on other sights. You like Comp that is great. Don't go calling people names that assemble these motors because they don't agree with you.
You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I never said 100% of the cam failures are at the fault of the owner/mechanic, but I think the majority are. I'm not alone in that arggument and many of the top guys in the LSx game who have been around and doing this since the inception of the LS engine agree with me. When any company puts out the sheer volume of any product, there are going to be faulty ones, whether that be cams, clutches, shifters, etc. I would think if the problem was all Comps fault, they would have no vendors left and be on the verge of going out of business.

I agree everyone is entitled to think what they want so please dont take offense. However since it's it mostly the users and not the companies then please show me a list of people in the recent year who have had the same problem with cam motion, bullet or crane cam cores.

Edit: sorry for mucking up the op's thread you will be fine with anny reputable cam grinder on here, if or when there is an issue rest assured you will alwyas be taken care of

I too had a whiny cam from comp. Believe me they know about it. I spoke to Greg at comp about the issue and what was causing it. And, although they were more than willing to polish the cam or grind me another, I chose to go another way. I will say their customer support was fantastic, as was the vendor I purchased the cam from. I wouldn't hesitate to use some of comps other products but I'll never use another one of their cams. They did say they have since fixed the issue and spent tons of money on equipment that will ensure that it never happens again...

I can only go off mine, and many people I know, who have Comp cams and have had zero issues. You also have to think that 80% or more on this forum run a Comp cam, so in terms of numbers alone, when you have that many customers running a Comp cam, the percentage for issues is going to be higher. Plus, not every one who has a LSx vehicle is not on this forum (I know, hard to believe) so I'm sure there are people out there running other companies cams that have issues too. No company is perfect.

What kind of drivability do you think I will have with the 234/246 116 lsa +4? Mainly concerned with surging/bucking at light throttle.
