Default Big cam users spring question ?

I'm having a problem with my proformance on my car. Last year it ran a best of 11.30 at 121.50 now after sitting all winter and driving it around a bit i went to the track and ran a best of 11.52 at 119.20 WTF.Weather was nice but what i noticed is my shift light is set at 6600 rpms and at that point it feels like valve float or vev limiter kicking in but it is set at 7000 rpms. Does a g5x2 eat springs that bad? If i have to replace the springs what should i go with and how should i check my old ones to see if there bad.

The duel spring kit that Comp Cams offers is brilliant.
Handles my engine fine all the way to 7000 rpm shift.
