I've got a local fellow here in Southern Ca. that I use for cryoing my customer engine parts. He has the right equipment to cryo and post heat treat the parts. Prices are very reasonable.

That's what my company does... We specialize in deep cryogenic processing of motorsports components. I do quite a bit of LS1 stuff.

It helps realign the molecular structure of the metal, making for a more solid and structurally sound material.

At what level of performance should this be considered necessary? Any other parts that should be done? Pricing?

Thanks!

I had deep Freeeze Cryo do my flywheel. Makes it pretty much bullet proof.

What about cyro'ing stock rods? would it be beneficial? I don't think that I really need a set of aftermarket rods so I was wondering about the stockers.

Default stock rods

The stock rods are powdered metal. I doubt that cryo treatment would do much to improve strength.

Cryo works great on gears. I always cryo all the valve train parts on any engines I build here. That includes, cam, lifters (both flat and roller), pushrods, valve springs and rocker arms (both steel and aluminum). I find springs will last roughly twice as long as without cryo.

The local Viper shop has Cryo Science do the brake rotors on their road race cars. Rotors now last all season where before they had to change them after almost every race.

Cryo has almost no effect on titanium by the way. That's why I didn't list valves in my valve train list.
